Jim | Welcome. The web-based mobile scorekeeper for use with most phones/PDAs does not use GPS. There are two Android 2 phone apps that use GPS. There is a GPS app and a scorekeeper/GPS app.
You mark the green locations yourself using the Android apps by just being on the green and pressing a button.
You can add courses here on the website if the course is not already in the database. The course directory is here. The Android scorekeeper/GPS app can add courses, but it is easier to use the site.
I have a Motorola Droid and use the scorekeeper/GPS app. Previous years, I was using the mobile scorekeeper. The Android apps are new this year. |
kiwi-golferoo7 | This might be a stupid question, but does the phone application use sattilite posistioning or the triangulation method?
If any one has used the phone application can you reccomend it?
Is it easy to map your own course?
Thanks for your help and patience,
Matt. |
